🔥🍋 Crispy Lamb Goulash Bites with Honey & Lemon Glaze

A bold twist on a classic cut — turning slow-cook lamb into crispy, sticky, flavour-packed bites.

Equipment

  • Pot or saucepan
  • Frying pan
  • Slotted spoon
  • Knife & chopping board
  • Small bowl

Ingredients

  • 600 – 800 grams lamb goulash (cubed lamb)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 cup water or stock
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

Instructions

  • Tenderise the Lamb

    Place lamb goulash in a pot with water/stock and a pinch of salt.
    Simmer on low for 45–60 minutes until tender.
    Drain and allow the meat to dry slightly.
  • Crisp the Lamb

    Heat a pan with a small drizzle of oil.
    Fry lamb pieces until deep golden and crispy on the edges.
  • Make the Glaze

    Mix honey, vinegar, lemon zest, soy sauce, and chili flakes.
  • Toss & Finish

    Lower heat and pour glaze into the pan.
    Toss quickly until the lamb is sticky and glossy (1–2 minutes).
  • Serve

    Serve hot as:
    A snack
    A tapas-style plate
    A topping for flatbreads or bowls
