🧀🌿 Crispy Parmesan Herb Bacon Twists
A completely different take β textured, savoury, and crunchy, almost like a gourmet snack rather than just bacon.
Equipment
- Baking tray
- Baking rack (preferred for crispiness)
- Baking paper
- Small bowl
- Tongs
Ingredients
- 300 -400 grams streaky bacon
- ΒΌ cup finely grated parmesan
- 1 tsp dried oregano (or mixed herbs)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Zest of Β½ lemon
Instructions
Preheat
Heat oven to 200Β°C. Line tray and place a rack on top.Twist the Bacon
Gently twist each strip of bacon into a spiral and place on the rack.Make the Crust
Mix parmesan, herbs, garlic powder, black pepper, and lemon zest.Coat & Bake
Sprinkle the mixture over the bacon twists, pressing lightly so it sticks.Bake for 18β22 minutes until crispy and golden.Finish
Let cool for 2β3 minutes β the parmesan will crisp into a light crust.
