Easy Sausage & Peppers Skillet

Simple, savory sausage skillet—just sausage, peppers, onions, and a skillet. Flavor-packed and fuss-free.

Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet or frying pan
  • 1 Knife & chopping board
  • Tongs or wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups & spoons

Ingredients

  • 400 gram sausage (your choice: Italian, smoked, or boerewors)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 large bell pepper (any color), sliced
  • 1-2 tbsp oil (olive or neutral)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Prep the ingredients:Slice the sausage, onion, and bell pepper.
  • Heat the skillet:Add oil and warm over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Cook the sausage:Add sausage slices and sauté until lightly browned (~4 minutes).
  • Add veggies:Stir in onions and peppers. Season with salt & pepper. Cook until softened and sausage is fully cooked (~5–7 minutes).
  • Serve:Plate immediately as is, or serve over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread for a heartier meal.
