Garlic Butter Angus Beef Steaks

Equipment
- Cast iron skillet / heavy frying pan
- Tongs
- Sharp knife
- chopping board
- Small bowl (for garlic butter)
Ingredients
- 2 Angus beef sirloin or ribeye steaks (about 250–300g each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prep the steaks – Pat dry with paper towels, then season generously with salt and black pepper. Let them rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- Heat the pan – Place skillet on high heat until very hot. Add olive oil.
- Sear the steaks – Place Angus steaks in the pan and sear 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust time for doneness). Use tongs to flip once.
- Make garlic butter – In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, and parsley.
- Finish in pan – Add garlic butter to the skillet in the last minute of cooking. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks as they finish searing.
- Rest & serve – Remove steaks from pan, rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve hot.
