Honey‑Soy Glazed Pork Rashers

Tender pork rashers bathed in a rich honey‑soy glaze

Equipment

  • 1 Oven-safe baking tray or dish
  • 1 Small mixing bowl + spoon
  • basting brush or spoon
  • tongs or spatula
  • Knife & cutting board

Ingredients

  • 600 grams boneless pork rashers (approx. 6–8 pieces)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • sesame seeds or chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200 °C (390 °F).
  • Make glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic.
  • Arrange rashers: Lay pork rashers in a single layer on your baking tray.
  • Glaze & bake: Brush rashers with half the glaze. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Baste & finish: Remove, brush with remaining glaze, then bake for another 10–15 minutes until caramelised and charred at the edges.
  • Serve: Transfer rashers to a plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds or green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

  • No oven? Finish under the grill for 2–3 minutes to caramelise the glaze.
  • Extra flavour: Add 1 tsp grated ginger to the glaze for a zingy twist.
  • Serving ideas: Pairs beautifully with rice, steamed greens, or Asian slaw.
