One of the easier mince recipes, inspired by my mum. As the name suggests this is my mix of Spaghetti Bolognese and Shephard’s Pie. Using Free range mince of course. This is a good way to use leftover Bolognese too and is just one of those dishes you slap together and it turns out to be great!

Shepherds Bolognese pie
I discovered this dish when I had leftover Spaghetti Bolognese. Everyone loved it so much it is now requested. Basically a cross between Spaghetti Bolognaise and Shephards pie

Ingredients
- 250 g Spaghetti already cooked the way you like it
- 250 g mince
- Bolognaise sauce store bought or home made
- 250 g Mashed potate or sweet potatoe ALready cooked and mashed – everyone has their secret way to make mashed potato, so whatever works for you here. Swap for sweet potato for slightly healthier
- 250 g Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C
- Get a pan on the hob and add cooking oil. On medium high heat get the pan hot. Add the mince and a few seocnds later add the bolognese sauce. Heat though, usually takes not mor ethan 5 minutes. Make the sure the mince is loose and not stick together.
- In a roasting tray, add all the spaghetti then add the mince from the pan and spread evenly
- Add the mashed potato and spread evenly accross the roasting pan
- Sprinle all the cheese over the top
- Change yoru oven to the grill and add the pan, keep an eye on it, as soon as the cheese is melted and crispy, befire it starts turning black of course – remove and serve
Notes
I have not included how to make Spaghetti or mashed potato. A smentioned everyone has their own version and I am no expert in that. Just be sure to use our free range mince.
