Organic Pork Shoulder from Lowerland is a regenerative family farm on the banks of the Orange River, between Prieska and Niekerkshoop in the expansive Northern Cape Province of South Africa. Lowerland farms from soil to soul to produce an assortment of delicious, nourishing meat. A sharp focus on regenerative agriculture, holistic design and diversity throughout the system.

The pigs spend all of the time outside, and feed is based on cleaning pumpkin fields (hence the name Pampoenvark), vineyards, and pecan orchards after harvest and to break pest cycles naturally. A smaller portion is also made up of organic bran from the onsite milling operation and also weeds and sticks from the onsite maize flour operation.
