Karoo Lamb is top quality lamb with a great dependency on external factors like weather conditions and especially rain. If a lamb is not free range and antibiotic free it is not available as a Karoo meat of origin lamb. This is the making of a truly unique and limited product of the Karoo.
Karoo Lamb is also naturally free range. The sheep are forced to forage by walking distances eating the fynbos. It is said 1 sheep needs 4 hectares of land. This, coupled with the fynbos diet make for a very herby taste which is unique.
